The U.S. Public Sector business unit complies with laws, regulations, and contract requirements that pertain to ITAR, industrial and personal security related to CA’s cleared facility and employees, and classified information protection. The employee will interface with senior leaders, other companies, and government officials to address ITAR and National Industrial Security compliance matters to manage and mitigate risk in these areas.

You will serve as the Empowered Official (as defined in ITAR Section 120.25) and will develop and manage an ITAR compliance program. You will also serve as the Facility Security Officer responsible for National Industrial Security compliance. National Industrial Security compliance also includes compliance with National Industrial Security Program requirements, Intelligence Community Directives (700 series), Security Technical Implementation Guides, Program Security Guides, counterintelligence and other contract security requirements.

  • About the Role*

In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry. You will responsible to:

  • Promote business success by leading company compliance with ITAR and National Industrial Security requirements and minimizing risk of costly compliance failures

  • Advise and assist senior leaders and Legal regarding compliance matters. In coordination with Legal, interface with external organizations regarding compliance requirements and reporting

  • Develop and implement business processes, policies, procedures, and tools related to ITAR and industrial and personal security related to CA’s cleared facility

  • Support Sales, Finance and Legal in negotiating contracts with outside parties to ensure regulatory flow-downs are met

  • Supervise ITAR and industrial and personal security related to CA’s cleared facility

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ITAR compliance program

  • Lead business unit counterintelligence and security programs including personnel, information, and industrial security programs related to CA’s cleared facility

  • Maintain key relationships with Intel Community security and program managers

The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. She/he will have an outstanding track record and reputation for being proactive, assertive and detail oriented. An ideal background will include:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in related fields, including at least 5 years managing compliance programs

  • Understands the provisions and requirements of the various export control statutes and regulations, and the criminal liability, civil liability and administrative penalties for violating the Arms Export Control Act and ITAR

  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and government compliance policies and systems

  • Experience with import/export licensing and compliance
