The Manager, Software Engineering will provide technical leadership and people management for engineering teams to help modernize our API Gateway framework.

  • What might I be doing?*

Are you an unconventional leader who thrives in an area of modernizing technologies? Does it excite you to contribute to an architectural shift? If so, we are looking for a person with a strong leadership and development background to join the management team of CA’s industry leading API Gateway product. As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will:

  • Lead agile API Gateway feature teams to produce high-quality software

  • Manage cross functional Scrum teams of developers and QA engineers in end-to-end delivery of software

  • Determine and recommend methods to streamline and improve development processes and procedures

  • Determine critical priorities and lead staff to achieve those objectives

  • What experience do I need?*

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, including in an enterprise software environment

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership position at a mid-to-large software company

  • You are a well-rounded manager who is specifically technical

  • You have a background in development and an appetite to have people leadership responsibilities

  • You are fluent in Java

  • You are well versed with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)

  • You have worked within a modern Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • You have an ability to thrive and execute within an agile environment

  • You have a keen sense of teamwork, collaboration, and empowerment

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

  • You have an outstanding track record and reputation for advising senior leaders on strategic initiatives within the software industry

  • You have exposure to Gateways, APIs, API development, security, and/or networking
