This position is responsible for positioning and proving CA's Security products and solutions address clients' and partner's business and IT needs. This is accomplished by having a solid understanding of CA's products and solutions within the assigned product group and a solid knowledge of CA's technology strategies in order to articulate their application to customer's and partner's IT practices.

- About the Consultant Presales Role:*
This position must learn to be seen by the customer as bringing tangible value in terms of experience, knowledge and expertise. This is achieved through gaining a combination of broad real-world experience and IT industry-specific certifications. Overall, this position is responsible for delivering positive, quantifiable results for CA measured across five primary areas:
* * Customer Focus:* Learn to effectively and compelling communicate CA's key capabilities to address customer and partner needs
* * Financial Targets:* Meet or exceed CA's stated financial quotas and targets
* * Internal Business Processes:* Demonstrate proficiency with CA's internal processes, systems and support structure

* * Leadership, Teamwork and Planning:* Collaborate with virtual team(s)
Customer demonstrations and presentations
Coordinating and managing technical validation events of CA products with our prospects
Own Presales technical account managment at prospective customers
Actively research and discuss competitive information in the marketplace with the sales team and prospects
Participating in conferences, exhibitions when appropriate and requested
Typically 2 or more years of IT industry related experience, preferably with a professional IT services company or software provider. The incumbent should possess a broad understanding of technology concerns and the ability to quickly become knowledgeable on CA's overall technology strategy and product solutions in chosen product group. The incumbent should have underlying business acumen or experience in order to demonstrate/explain how CA technology can fulfill the business requirements of customers. The individual in this role must possess experience working with customers, sales personnel, customer service, as well as a good understanding of the industry disciplines, technologies and applications relevant to the assigned product group
APImanagement knowledge will be a plus
Experience supporting Sales team from technical perspective
Experience in Testing and Quality Assurance for software development.
Development Background will be a plus.
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineer/ IT/Computer Science or closely related field
Have good communication skills;
Must be willing to travel/ Business travel of approximately 75 or more percent yearly is expected for this position.
