This position identifies compelling market opportunities, and creates a product strategy to exploit the opportunity. Comfortable operating in all aspects of the Product Management function, driving continuous improvement and will partner across all functions to help to increase efficiency and innovation across the product line.
/Lead the Organization/*
May perform some of the responsibilities of a Product Manager.
Support continuous improvement of Product Management capability.
o Stay abreast of and share industry/technology trends relevant to the Product Management discipline.
Stay focused on evolving customer/market needs leveraging voice of the customer feedback from various sources.
Balance available resources to support the objectives of multiple teams.
o Develop budget for approval, and manage budget once approved.
May represent CA in industry groups and events to create internal and external awareness of functional solutions.
May represent company in relations with major customers, suppliers, bankers, government agencies, and both channel and alliance partners.
Meet regularly with employees one-on-one for Pulse Conversations and coaching.

- Be present, support and guide the team during all relevant Agile processes and practices.
o Proactively identify impediments to team success including the skills, knowledge or resources required to meet defined objectives.
May participate in all Agile Processes such as Program Increment Planning and Release Management alongside other key Business Owners.
Lead or actively engage with Communities of Practice for the Product Manager function.
o Coach and mentor more junior Product Managers in the art and science of the Product Manager role.
Take a leadership role within the extended Product Management team in support of the overall Product Management discipline for a Product Line or solution.
May also assume the responsibilities of the Product Owner role, for example where the product is small (one Agile team) or development is predominantly maintenance.
May perform Product Management responsibilities for multiple products, for example where the associated products or markets are very immature, mature, or highly synergistic.
Work in close partnership with multiple Product Managers and Owners to optimize feature delivery to the customer in a series of releases that balance CA Technologies technical and economic objectives for the Product line.
Take a leadership role within the extended Portfolio Team, including Product Managers, Product Owners, UX and Architects in facilitating the processes, practices and principles necessary to delivering outstanding business value and an exceptional customer experience.
Lead continuous market research and assessment activities to ensure the team is aligned to the market opportunities, and able to react quickly to changing market dynamics.
o Contribute to product demos to Industry forums to help gain market acceptance and establish market leadership.
o Contribute to reviews with Analysts and to the submission of materials for Analyst reports.
- Build customer insights into all stages of the planning and execution process, ensuring the continuous validation of features and stories with Customers.
o Solicit and secure customers in support of the validation process.
o Actively engage with Customer Advisory Boards and other key customer forums to form strategic partnerships that will help drive the product-line forward.
Act as a model for the principles behind the Agile Manifesto.
May act as advisor to the SVP or General Manager of the Business Unit.
May helps to make buy verses build decisions for the product lines in the BU.
May work with Business Development to build relationships necessary to move the product line forward.
Publish internal and external articles and blogs on industry trends.
In addition to identified strategic responsibilities, will typically continue to conduct Release and Risk Management, Program Increment (PI) Planning *and *Execution, and *Go-To-Market Execution *responsibilities for assigned products.
