- About the Role*
In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry. You will responsible to:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s Channel Business Unit operating and strategic plan.
Work with specific business units, marketing, and sales teams to develop and update their channel execution strategies.
Conduct research used to drive strategic decisions impacting customer focus, product portfolio and business models.
Implement a methodology to ensure that the strategy process is operational so that participation in emerging and existing markets is constantly evaluated.
Utilize communication skills, domain familiarity and the ability to leverage relationships across the company to realize business objectives.
Provide input into the Sales Channel Business direction and drive key initiatives.
Drive analysis of market trends, technology developments, and changes in customers' requirements to identify opportunities and risks impacting the company's business and formulate strategic responses to drive sustainable value realization.
Coordinate input from all major stakeholders to facilitate the integration of the channel business unit plan with the corporate strategic plan.
Provide operational support to the business to ensure the success of the operating plan initiatives.
Manage data for the fiscal year planning, quota setting, budgeting partner compensation and business readiness processes.
Define, implement and facilitate metrics and standard reporting/dashboards and provide business insights and analysis of the Partner Organization.
Implement programs and initiatives to meet organizational goals.
Utilize tools, systems, processes, and procedures to increase department efficiency and effectiveness.
Engage with third party analysts, consultants, and research organizations to execute research and bring independent knowledge and assessments into the company.
Lead projects that require cross functional collaboration and manage stakeholder expectations; set deadlines; assign responsibilities; monitor and summarize progress; research requirements; recruit support as necessary and provide proposals on action plan, including the creation of success criteria and measurements.
Develop, analyze and prepare information for senior channel management.
Direct and/or develop communications including thought leadership material, articles, presentations, social media and intranet content.
Evaluate organizational issues; provide strategy and direction suggestions to the functional area leadership.

The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. She/he will have an outstanding track record and reputation for being proactive, assertive and detail oriented. An ideal background will include:
Typically, 10 or more years of experience in field facing, or finance roles, preferably in the Information Technology sector.

Strong leadership, planning, execution, presentation, communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and multi-tasking skills.
Proactive and entrepreneurial style and strong ability to work without direction with breakthrough thinking, influencing and execution capabilities.
Strong spreadsheet and analysis abilities, systems and analytical capabilities.
Ability to build relationships with complimentary areas of the business, particularly in Finance, GIS, HR and the field facing organizations.
Highly capable of building consensus and driving change among multiple organizational levels and varied constituents.
In-depth understanding of CA's internal business processes, systems and operational goals.
Due to the position's high level of exposure and the sensitivity of some data, functions must be carried out discretely and with a high level of professionalism.
Improve sales capability and effectiveness and deliver management visibility into business performance.
Business travel of approximately 25 percent yearly is expected for this position.
Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Finance, Marketing, Sales or a business-related field. MBA or global equivalent preferred
