CA Technologies is looking for a self-motivated, energetic and focused sales engineers for our market leading Privileged Access Management solution. A great Sales Engineer must combine technical ability with sales acumen and is responsible for the technical win during the sales cycle. Sales Engineers at CA Technologies are involved in all stages of the customer’s development lifecycle. We are looking for great teammates that can build sales presentations, conduct product demonstrations and POCs, and educate customers (from developers to C-level executives) on the best ways to solve their privileged access challenge. - About the Program Manager:*
In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry by:
Support the sales team in helping customers understand what they can achieve with CA’s Privileged Access Management Solution
Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving their challenges
Craft technical content to show customers how to implement specific use cases or standard methodologies
Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales
Committed to provide Security solution advice and technical guidance to sales teams and key business partners.
Challenge yourself to create and deliver innovative product demonstrations for prospects, customers, and partners on-site and remotely.
Provide technical leadership during trials, Proof of Concept (POCs), complex demos, etc.
Developing tactical and strategic sales plans and proposals to win business for the sales teams.
Take pride in contributing field knowledge and feedback to direct future product requirements and enhancements as our technologies are constantly updated.
Collaborate closely with your internal network and the customer to obtain a deep understanding of the customer's technology needs or offerings and architect a solution to meet them.
Understand and act as a valued resource early and often within the customer's decision-making process.
Capable of delivering value pitches to business users at the C-Level as well as leading deep dive technical discussions with IT.
Eager to learn, maintain a deep and extensive technical knowledge of the products.
Provide excellent technical specifications and requirements documentation as necessary to support the proposed solution.
How You’ll Stand Out:*
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communications skills and be able to translate technical requirements for a nontechnical audience. The successful candidate will work well under pressure, be self-motivated while still interacting well with a team, be highly organized and have a high energy level.
Typically, 5+ years’ experience as a sales engineer or solution architect, working with enterprise software products or services.
Must be comfortable with up to 60% travel
Recent experience with a Privileged Access Management solution
MIS/Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience required
Demonstrated ability to assess customer requirements, identify business problems, and demonstrate proposed solutions.
Strong experience with Windows/Active Directory administration and operations with some knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to build and present high-quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences
Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at multiple levels to work cross-organizationally toward solutions; excellent leadership and consensus building skills
An understanding of security concepts and the development of security roles within organizations that meet functional, technical and regulatory requirements
Both direct and partner presales activity experience will be seen as a plus
Dev Ops experience a plus
Scripting knowledge a plus
CISSP or like certificates preferred
Candidates will be located in either the Southeast or Greater New York City area*
