As a Program Manager, Global Partner Strategy and Planning at CA, you will be responsible for the strategy and planning for the Global Partner Organization. Ensure the team is focused on plan execution and collaborates with cross-functional teams to generate alignment in support of the plan.

  • About the Role:*

In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry by:

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and management of the 3 Year Global Partner Organization strategy

  • Work with senior channel management to identify and drive opportunities to enhance the market position of the business

  • Provide strategic counsel and act as a thought leader with responsibility for enabling the development and execution of innovative channel strategies to achieve objectives and meet company goals

  • Support what is needed to ensure the Global Partner strategy is understood and supported operationally

  • Drive and support Global Partner Organization Leadership meetings – agenda, planning, deliverables development, and meeting management

  • Partner with SVP Global Partner Organization to prepare for Executive Leadership meetings across the business

  • Work with Geo, RTM and BU teams to provide business insights and recommendations to drive the execution of the strategy

  • Collaborate with GPO Geo and RTM Leaders around individual strategy development and execution in alignment with the Global Partner Organization strategy

  • Collaborate with Field, BU, Marketing and Cross Functional Leaders to ensure alignment of planning and our Global Partner Organization strategy

  • Build and execute consistent processes to ensure cross-functional alignment around strategic planning and execution

  • Analyze competitive and market trends, assess the impact on the business and make recommendations to senior management

  • Evangelize Channel Strategy to Sales and Partners

  • Planned field travel to engage with Focus Partners across routes to understand and align strategy and field execution

  • How You’ll Stand Out*:

The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. She/he will have an outstanding track record and reputation for execution and collaboration across an organization and within teams. They will be sharp, professionally aggressive, and driven to excel. An ideal background will include:

  • 3+ years big firm consulting experience preferred

  • 5+ years of experience within program management

  • Experience working at a partner, channel sales organization and/or industry experience is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments at one time

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including creating executive-level presentations

  • Strong storyboarding and creating visualizations to effectively convey data using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Ability to provide thoughtful, well-structured strategic input

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Business acumen and professionalism

  • Ability to travel 50% (predominantly NYC)
