As a Manager is responsible effectively managing both technical and people aspects of a development team. This includes provide coaching & mentoring, getting involved in design discussions & reviews, technical code review, providing technical guidance, etc.

Perform all aspects of personnel management, including guidance and enablement of self-directed teams to execute on corporate vision and strategy. Manage staffing, skills development, employee performance, and drive continuous organizational improvement.

  • 12 - 15 years of experience in software development Organization preferably from Product Engineering Organization.

  • 7 - 9 years of software development experience, with hands-on experience in building Software in Core Java, J2ee Stack, Java Scripting, Devops

  • 4 - 5 years of experience Technical/Development Manager.

  • Should be playing Software Engineering Manager Role currently

  • Required technical skills.

o * Core Java / J2ee Stack, Java Scripting*, DEVOPS

o Data Structures, Collections, Algorithms, Multithreading.

o Web based application development, Restful Webservices experience

o Strong Database Concepts

o * Strong exposure on Code review, Multiple Design Patterns, Software Architecture, guiding team technically.*

o Ability to technically motivate team members.

  • Working experience in Safe Agile development environment.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and respond to changing requirements and environment.

o Aptitude for development of interpersonal and management skills.

o Skilled at instructing, coaching and mentoring to improve performance and employee development.

o Participate in design and code reviews with other engineers.

o Use best software engineering practices to evolve the system design.

o Create automated unit, system, and acceptance tests.

o Participate in test plan reviews.

o Perform unit/module testing of software.

o Continuously evaluate software performance, identify performance degradation and opportunities to gain performance improvements valued by customers.
