  • Job Overview*

This position is responsible for leading the research on an AI project. This position requires autonomous control and continuous coordination with other researchers from CA and from external companies or Universities. The candidate should be capable of working as individual researchers, as well as a team member. Sr. Researchers will gain experience in team building and leadership, developing professional relationships, networking within the academic and research communities, as well as internally in CA.

This position is linked to a project that ends in December 2020.

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Be an active researcher in one or more research projects.

  • Be responsible of the development of POCs and other software components required by the research project.

  • Represent CA in project(s) meetings, discussion or boards supporting the Principal Investigator (PI) responsible for the project(s)

  • Work with the team(s) to create, develop and validate new ideas.

  • Keep the project team informed about relevant developments, both internal and external, in coordination with his/her manager.

  • Report progress of the development, advances in the project to other members of the team and the PI in charge of the project.

  • Understand his/her role in the project and project deliverables, and help others understand their role in the project.

  • Support the PI responsible for the project(s) to keep an active collaboration between the project team and the appropriate CA organization(s), ensuring their interest and commitment to the project by seeking the right balance between research and development goals.

  • Author/co-author reports, journal and conference publications.

  • Identify Intellectual Property for possible protection.

  • Be involved in protecting intellectual property.

  • Key Requirements*

  • Experienced M.Sc. or Ph.D. in machine learning and/or deep learning.

  • Data-science skills highly desirable.

  • Advanced programing skills in several programing languages, including full stack development and data-oriented architectures.

  • Experience in EU projects highly desirable.

  • Good stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Very good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
