CA Veracode, a Division of CA Technologies, is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Dynamic Scan Engine Team. Our services are delivered in multiple ways including an on-premise appliance, traditional data center offering and a robust cloud solution delivered through AWS.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:*

  • Manage performance for a team of cross-functional engineers

  • Work with Product Management to Deliver results through roadmap planning

  • Work with Project Managers to clearly outline alternatives, pros/cons, and risks/mitigations to different projects

  • Act as a technical and professional mentor to team members

  • Develop cross-functional relationships to a broader sphere of the organization and partner with peers to deliver business objectives

  • Required Skills/Experience:*

  • Previous experience managing Software Development Teams

  • Experience working on SaaS Products (ideally in Microservices architecture)

  • Java Development experience (Java 8 functional knowledge would be desired)

  • Java Multi-threading knowledge

  • Experience leading the building of Secure Web Applications

  • Experience with HTTP and Modern Web Applications

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies. (SAFe preferred)

  • Strong business acumen and analytics skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 10+ years of experience overall.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or Engineering. (Master’s degree preferred.)

  • Desired Skills/Experience:*

  • Exposure to security products and a secure product development lifecycle

  • Experience in the development/design of application engines (Rules Engine exp. is ideal)

  • Previous experience as a Product Owner a plus

  • Previous experience developing tooling, SDKs or frameworks for other developers desired
